The eagle is coming in hot. Wings back, talons open, a wrench in one and a spark plug in the other, flames underneath and a scalloped sky behind it. Two banners hold the whole thing in place, in the gold, cream and red of proper traditional flash. It runs full width across the back. Up front, a small crossed wrench badge and nothing else.

The cut is relaxed and the cotton is light. Airlume combed ring-spun, four ounces and change, with enough drape to fall easy off the shoulder and enough body to keep the eagle sitting flat across the back. Pre-shrunk, side seamed, ribbed crew neck. It's the one you reach for when the heavyweight is too much for the afternoon.

Nothing else in the lineup looks like it, which is the point. Grease and gold, earned every bit.
